There was no escaping it, he was a monster. The screams of people haunted his dreams. He tossed and turned, he tried thinking of anything else to keep his mind off of it but the faces of his victims in their last moments rushed threw his mind. He didn’t want to do this anymore but he didn’t know any other way. He slowly got out of bed, ran his fingers through his messy brown hair, and looked at himself in his mirror. That can’t be me he thought as he stared at the man looking backing at him. This guys a loser, a bum, the lowest of the low. But tears started to fall down his cheeks the longer he looked back at the monster in the mirror. His knees started to tremble and there was a terrible pain in his stomach as the man in the mirror looked back at him with an icy stare and said, “The world would be a better place if you were gone.” Even though he knew it was the truth he didn’t want to hear it. The second the words were said all the sadness was completely erased from his facial expression and anger took its place. Without even thinking twice about it he punched the mirror as hard as he could. Glass shattered around him and his hand started bleed. But the pain in his hand didn’t even seem to faze him he kept his stare into the shattered mirror. He took a couple deep breathes before he finally broke the stare with himself and feel to the bed with tears streaming down his face as he sat there and remembered what happened that made his whole world turn upside down.

This is one of my favorite paragraphs/ stories ive ever written. i loved putting myself in his shoes and writing the story as if it was my own.
ReplyDeleteThis is seriously intense. I want to read the story. Your imagery is great, and you really convey a strong feeling of despair and pain.
ReplyDeleteYay Ban Ban :)
